Terms of use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Draft. These are website-use terms only and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Paid projects should also have a written quote or service agreement covering the actual commercial terms.
Using this website
You may use this website for ordinary lawful purposes, including learning about Townsite.au, requesting a quote and checking a project that belongs to you. Do not deliberately interfere with the site, attempt to bypass security controls or try to access another client’s project.
Website information
Information on this website is general and may change. A page describing a service is not, by itself, a binding quote or promise that a particular feature, price or completion date will apply to your project.
Quotes and service agreements
Each project should be covered by a written quote or agreement that states the agreed scope, price, payment arrangements, expected timeframe, revision process, cancellation terms and any ongoing services. If there is a conflict between these website terms and a signed or otherwise accepted project agreement, the project agreement should govern the project to the extent permitted by law.
Client-supplied material
If you provide text, photos, logos, trademarks, videos or other material for a project, you should make sure you have the right to use it and to authorise its use for the project. Townsite.au should not be asked to knowingly publish unlawful, infringing or misleading material.
Intellectual property
Material on this website may be protected by copyright, trade mark or other rights. Third-party material remains subject to the rights and licences that apply to it. Ownership and licensing of work created for a client project should be stated in that project’s written quote or service agreement rather than assumed from these website terms.
Third-party services
A website project may use third-party services such as domain registrars, hosting providers, analytics, booking systems, payment services, maps, email providers or form services. Their availability, prices and terms are controlled by those providers. Any third-party service required for a client project should be identified in the project scope where practical.
Project codes
If you receive a project code, keep it private and use it only for your own project. The current static portal uses client-side encryption and is intended for ordinary project updates, not highly sensitive information.
Website availability
We may update, suspend or change parts of this website. We do not promise that the public website or third-party services will always be available without interruption.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Governing law
The appropriate governing-law and dispute provisions for paid work should be confirmed in the written service agreement. Before relying on these website terms as final legal terms, have an Australian lawyer confirm the clause that should apply to the business.
